Drawings | Outline Scribble
At one time I drew orange scribbles on newspaper photos of people's faces. These expressive marks—carefully outlined in black and as a result altered in character—developed into portraits that are built up by layering many distinct scribbled portrait images over one another and became a means to redefine a way of drawing. The loosely drawn sketch, of faces layered on top of each other so that it becomes an unknown person, is transformed into a flat abstract image.
